Problems in KSAT

        Just like all the other countries, there are many tests executed in Korea. For example, middle schoolers and high schoolers get to have a test twice in a semester. These tests have a lot of problems remaining. 

     KSAT is a test executed in Korea. About 500,000 people take this test each year. People with a highschool degree gets the opportunity to take this test. There is about 5 to 6 subjects in this test. For the parts of science and foriegn language, the takers are able to choose which one they are going to take. 

     These days, many of the education experts are mentioning that KSAT has a lot of problems. According to the educational expert Sang Woo Kim, he mentioned that the KSAT does not help students to think I should work more harder after getting a bad result. The KSAT just makes the students to feel frustrated after failing. There are some reasons for this problem.

     First of all, the parts in the KSAT has a lot of difficulties from the things students learn in school. Therefore, students get to prepare KSAT separately from the school mid, and finals. Students get to study twice as much as other country kids. They get even smaller amount of time to rest then other students in other countries.

     Second, actually, the purpose of KSAT is a problem. One test executed in a day just grades everything the student did for the years from elementary to highschool. There is no more chance for a student who failed in the test just because he was in a bad condition that day. Was it his purpose? No. Then, what makes the reason for him to study for KSAT one more year and have a gap year? In a common sense, it does not make any sense that a person’s life is decided from a test taken for about 5 hours. 

     KSAT has a lot of problem remaining till about 20years passed. 

It is still being amended each year. Nobody knows exactly when KSAT is being abolished. However, it is clear that KSAT remains an essential problem in Korea's education. To furthermore advance the current education, the abolishment of KSAT is crucial.
